During April 2009, I
returned to The Television & Movie Store
so that I could meet some Red Dwarf stars.
This signing event featured Craig Charles who played Dave Lister in the science-fiction comedy classic.
Along with the famous comedy show, Craig is also currently known for
his role as Lloyd Mullaney in the popular soap Coronation Street.
As usual, I arrived at the store in
good time for the signing. To my amazement, the queue was already
quite long. I chatted to several people waiting with me about the
show and science fiction in general. It was not till an hour and
three quarters later that I finally got to meet Craig.
I had a brief chat with Craig about his
starring role in the show. Humorously, our conversation was interrupted comically
by Robert Llewellyn and
Angela Bruce, who were also at the
event. The trio were all clearly enjoying each others company, as
well as mine, as they were pretending to argue over the pens used
for the signings.
Craig a signed for a print of himself
as Lister, plus a DVD cover and a mousemat. I enjoyed my chat to
the star, and wish it could have been longer.
