In December 2008, I
returned to The Television & Movie Store in Norwich. I went to the
store to meet Gareth David-Lloyd, who stars in the Doctor Who
spin-off Torchwood. In the show
Gareth plays Ianto Jones, the General Support Officer to the
Torchwood team.
When I got to The
Television & Movie Store, I was fortunate to be near the front of
the queue. Despite this, I still waiting over an hour and half to
meet the star. The queue was livelier than usual as, this time, it
included some of Gareth's screaming female fans. When I reached the
front of the queue, I managed to speak to the Torchwood actor for a
few minutes. During our chat, Gareth told me that he had recently
finished Series Three of the hit show. The star also informed me
that all the cast were very busy as there was a lot going on in
these forthcoming episodes.
During our
chat, Gareth signed a print of himself and my Torchwood Archives
hardback book. I was also able to take some photos of the actor
during our brief conversation.
