During January 2009, I returned to The Television & Movie
Store in Norwich to meet another classic Doctor Who star. This time I
met Richard Franklin who played Captain Mike Yates of UNIT.
As there was a ticket system to see Richard, I
purchased a couple of item before joining the queue. After a 30
minute wait to see the UNIT Captain, I then got my chance to get my items signed
and chat to the actor.

picture of Richard, a DVD cover, plus my Doctor Who: The Legend book
were signed. The DVD cover Ricard signed were The
Five Doctors.
Richard and myself talked about Doctor Who and his
time on the show. We also chatted about
Blake's 7, another programme Richard starred in which is another
favourite of mine. I thought Richard was very entertaining and I liked
his dry sense of humour. At the same event was the bubbly
Katy Manning.
