In June 2008, I returned to The Television & Movie
Store in Norwich to meet another classic Doctor Who star. This time I
met Nicola Bryant, otherwise known as Perpurgilliam Brown, better know
as Peri, the companion to the Fifth and Sixth Doctors.
I saw Nicola Bryant
after seeing
Indiana Jones
and
The
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a film I
really enjoyed watching.
When I got to The Television & Movie
Store, I was lucky enough to see that the queue to see Nicola Bryant
had disappeared, meaning I could chat the star almost straight away.
I had a good 15 minute chat with Nicola about her time on the show,
including a discussion of The Two Doctors in which she starred with
The
Second Doctor,
Patrick
Troughton and Frazer
Hines, who reprised his role as
Jamie McCrimmon
in the story. The story also featured the regular Doctor at the time
- Colin Baker -
plus the Sontarans, who
were villains of the piece.
Nicola, during our chat, signed my
Doctor Who: The Legend book, my DVD covers for The Two Doctors and
Vengeance on Varos, plus a newly purchased print of herself.
